Get Vertical Key Passage: All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved. Acts 2:42-47 Key Verse: On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Acts 2:1 2. Know Your Value Key Verse: The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:12 3. Risk It Key Passage: You’re no longer strangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. Ephesians 2:19-20 (The Message) Everybody needs God. Everybody needs somebody. Somebody needs you. 1. What do you feel like God is saying to you through this message? 2. What is your next step in building friendships? 3. How and where do you fit into the body of Christ? 4. What are some changes you want to see this week given what God is saying to you?
