 • Series: The Struggle Is Real

4-21-24 Setlist: You've Already Won Here Again It Is Well God Problems Sermon Notes: Key Verse: If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. Matthew 10:14 Four Types of People You Can’t Help 1. You can’t help people that don’t know they need it. Key Passage: But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the old covenant is being read, the same veil covers their minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this veil can be removed only by believing in Christ. Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand. But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. 2 Corinthians 3:14-18 Four Types of People You Can’t Help 2. You can’t help a person who knows they need it, but they don’t want it. Four Types of People You Can’t Help 3. You can’t help a person who knows they need it, and they want it; they just don’t want it from you. Key Passage: Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: “How long, you simpletons, (those who lack God’s wisdom) will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge? Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise. “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered. Proverbs 1:20-25 Four Types of People You Can’t Help 4. You can’t help a person who wants help but not now. What do we do for these people? 1. Give them up to God. 2. Never stop praying. 3. Pray that God would put someone in their life that has influence that will speak the truth to them. 4. Pray that the devil would lose interest in them. Discussion Questions 1. What do you feel like God is saying to you through this message? 2. Who do you know in your life you can't help?
