3-16-25 Setlist: We Praise You This Place Jireh Worthy Of My Song Sermon Notes: Key Passage: You must not have any other god but me. “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. Exodus 20:3-5 Key Verse: This is what the Lord says: “What did your ancestors find wrong with me that led them to stray so far from me? They worshiped worthless idols, only to become worthless themselves. Jeremiah 2:5 Key Verse: “What is more pleasing to the Lord: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22 Our obedience backs up our worship. Halal: To shine, to boast, overwhelming excitement, to be clamorously foolish. Key Passage: Praise (Halal) his name with dancing, accompanied by tambourine and harp. For the Lord delights in his people; Psalm 149:3-4 Shabach: To shout with triumph, address in a loud tone. Key Verse: One generation shall praise (Shabach) Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts. Psalm 145:4 Yadah: The extended hand, to raise up a hand. Key Verse: So I will sing praise (Yadah) to your name forever, that I may daily perform my vows. Psalm 61:8 Key Verse: Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. Psalm 134:2 Towdah:  To lift your hands in thanksgiving of things yet to come. Key Passage: In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Vows made to You are binding upon me, O God; I will render praises (Towdah) to You, Psalm 56:11-12 Tehillah: To sing a new song. Sing a song from the heart. Key Verse: Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises (Tehillah) of Israel. Psalm 22:3 Barak: To kneel in adoration, to bow. Key Verse: Enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise (Tehillah); give thanks to Him and praise (Barak) his holy name.   Psalm 100:4 Key Verse: Let all that I am praise (Barak) the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
