Know that Jesus turns aside for you. Key Verse: ...for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10 Key Passage: Eventually He came to the Samaritan village of Sychar, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there; and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because His disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. John 4:5-8 Key Passage: The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask Me, and I would give you living water.” John 4:9-10 Steps to refresh your soul: 2. Accept Jesus' offers to refill your soul. Key Verse: Then Jesus said, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 Key Passage: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 Key Passage: The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see... John 4:28-30 Steps to refresh your soul: 3. Lay down the burden you carry at His feet. Key Passage: ....ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could He possibly be the Messiah?” So the people came streaming from the village to see Him. John 4:28b-30 Key Verse: But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship Him that way. John 4:23 Steps to refresh your soul: 4. Be the worshiper the Father seeks. Key Verse: The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. 2 Chronicles 16:9 Discussion Questions: 1.
